Alyson Halcrow

Alyson Halcrow has lived and worked  in Shetland  since 2004. She has a degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Restorative Justice from Hull University (2010). She is a Community Mediator a Family Mediator as well as a Restorative Justice Practitioner. Although a qualified Social Worker, Alyson has worked chiefly in the voluntary sector. She worked in community drugs projects when HIV AIDS first hit Scotland in the 1980s and was instrumental in developing awareness raising training courses, encouraging preventative and common sense approaches for a wide range of people affected by HIV, including professionals working in the field at that time. Alyson, is passionate about and committed to enabling and promoting restorative approaches in all fields of life in particular in aiming for a Restorative Shetland.
