Amy Colvin

Amy Colvin is a Restorative Practitioner for Space2face. She was restoratively trained by Space2face in 2011 and has a BA in Fine Art. Amy is registered with the Restorative Justice Council and has completed additional Complex and Sensitive training enabling her to work with more serious cases. Since returning to Shetland from University Amy has worked in a range of creative roles. These have included lecturing at Shetland College UHI, delivering arts based workshops for the Bridges project (young people outside of training, education and employment), Supported Living and Outreach, Shetland Museum and Archives, the Befriending scheme and the Central Carers Group. She has been an artist on the Luminate Project working with day care participants in a care centre, has been the lead artist for Fiddle Frenzy Creative Fringe and a travelling weave tutor. Amy has experience working with all ages and creative abilities and takes this knowledge into her role with Space2face. Amy also works in schools, she is SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) registered and has studied Children’s Care, Learning and Development and Children and Young people. She is Child Protection, MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) and GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child) trained and a member of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.
