Our statement regarding Space2face's use of Twitter
Updated: Mar 13
Space2face was created to provide relief, support and to contribute to recovery with those affected by crime and conflict across Shetland. The values and standard we hold ourselves to have always centred around community, kindness, inclusion and honesty.
In recent weeks, Twitter Inc, has greatly expanded its tolerance for hate, negativity and misinformation. The events and treatment of its employees over the last week in particular, have made it impossible for Space2face to continue on this platform.
As of today, Tuesday 22 November, Space2face will no longer be active on Twitter. Regardless of blue or grey ticks or verified accounts, should you see a tweet from a Twitter account using our name, please know it is not us.
Moving forward, we hope you would continue to follow us at Space2face.org. We will also continue to participate on Instagram and Facebook sharing our message, work and news here.
This decision reflects the standard and values our Trustees and Team hold at Space2face.
